The Liverpool Bombing: Islam’s Mindboggling Deceptions Exposed

    By Raymond Ibrahim

On November 14, 2021, a man detonated an improvised explosive device near the main entrance of Liverpool Women’s Hospital in England. Only he died, though the taxi driver who had just dropped him off was also injured. Although he botched it, investigators concluded that his was a terrorist attack that was planned months in advance.

Emad al-Swealmeen, 32, the would-be terrorist in question, was a born Muslim who arrived in the UK in 2014 and applied for asylum by claiming he was a Syrian refugee. It turned out he was from Iraq or Jordan, and his asylum application was rejected.

Soon thereafter, Emad formally converted to Christianity; in 2015 he was baptized, and in 2017 confirmed, at Liverpool Cathedral. Although it is common for Muslim migrants to pretend to be Christian in order to receive asylum—based on their projected but erroneous belief that Western nations will naturally be more welcoming of Christians—those Christians close to him argue that his conversion was genuine:
[Thus] a church worker in Liverpool who once housed Al Swealmeen said he believed he was a “genuine Christian”… Members of the congregation at Emmanuel Church in Fazakerley, Liverpool, which Al Swealmeen attended from 2017 to 2019, said he had been “a committed Christian” who baked for church cake sales. The Reverend Mike Hindley said Al Swealmeen … was “a really kind guy.”

Moreover, according to a spokesperson from the cathedral that baptized and confirmed al-Swealmeen:
Liverpool Cathedral has developed robust processes for discerning whether someone might be expressing a genuine commitment to faith. These include requirements for regular attendance alongside taking part in a recognised Christian basics course. We would expect someone to be closely connected with the community for at least two years before we would consider supporting an [asylum] application.

Similarly, a spokesperson for the Church of England argued that their clergy would not baptize someone without first being “confident that those seeking baptism fully understand what it signifies…. We are not aware of any evidence to suggest a widespread correlation between conversion to Christianity, or any other faith, and abuse of the asylum system.”

From here, the problem becomes clear: if al-Swealmeen was a genuine Christian—and everyone seems agreed that he was—what motivated him to plot and try to execute a terrorist attack?

The arguments offered from those convinced that he was a true Christian range from claims that he was suffering from a mental illness to claims that Christianity no less than Islam promotes “martyrdom operations” (debunked here). Others argue that his conversion was indeed sincere, but he later regretted and sought to expiate it by becoming a jihadist “martyr.”

Few, however, are willing to consider that, from the very start, he may have been pretending to be a Christian. After all, who would spend years masquerading as something he’s not—going to church regularly, praying, reading the Bible, and overall expressing genuine faith—even baking cakes for church sales?

The problem with this position is that it fails to take into account the extent some Muslims are willing to go to in order to deceive their infidel enemies—especially when threatened with deportation from the boons of infidel living.

History offers an especially applicable example. In 1492, Granada, the final Muslim bastion of Spain, was reconquered. Its Muslims were initially granted lenient terms, including the right to travel abroad and practice Islam freely. However, whenever the opportunity arose, they launched many hard-to-quell uprisings—several “involving the stoning, dismembering, beheading, impaling, and burning alive of Christians”—and regularly colluded with foreign Muslim powers (e.g., Ottoman Turks) in an effort to subvert Spain back to Islam.

The Spanish crown eventually issued an edict that Muslims either had to convert to Christianity—and therefore slough off their jihadist animus—or quit the peninsula. In response, the entire population of Granada—hundreds of thousands of Muslims—openly embraced Christianity but remained crypto-Muslims. Publicly they went to church and baptized their children; at home they recited the Koran, preached undying hate for the infidel and their obligation to re-subjugate Spain to Islam. And all this deception was legitimized by the fatwas of leading Islamic clerics.

One historian explains the great lengths these “Moriscos”—that is, Muslim converts to Christianity who were still “Moorish,” or Islamic—went to deceive the Christians:
For a Morisco to pass as a good Christian took more than a simple statement to that effect. It required a sustained performance involving hundreds of individual statements and actions of different types, many of which might have little to do with expressions of belief or ritual per se. Dissimulation [taqiyya] was an institutionalized practice in Morisco communities that involved regular patterns of behaviour passed on from one generation to the next.

Despite this elaborate masquerade, Christians increasingly caught on: “With the permission and license that their accursed sect accorded them,” a frustrated Spaniard remarked in the seventeenth century, “they could feign any religion outwardly and without sinning, as long as they kept their hearts nevertheless devoted to their false impostor of a prophet. We saw so many of them who died while worshipping the Cross and speaking well of our Catholic Religion yet who were inwardly excellent Muslims.”

In short, generation after generation of Muslims pretended to be and lived as model Christians in Spain—even as they had nothing but hatred for Christianity and Christians—and all to remain and eventually reconquer Spain for Islam.

Nor do Muslims go to such great lengths of deception only to evade deportation. Some employ it for exclusively murderous ends. In 2013, for example, an assassination plot against a Christian pastor in Turkey was exposed; 14 Muslim suspects, including at least three women, were arrested. According to the pastor in question, Emre Karaali: “Two of them attended our church for over a year and they were like family.” One was even baptized. In reality, “These people had infiltrated our church and collected information about me, my family and the church and were preparing an attack against us.”

From here, the idea that Emad al-Swealmeen was baptized and attended church for a couple of years in order to gain asylum—and then showed his true colors by going full jihadist mode when denied—do not seem farfetched.

My understanding of Islam is that when you convert you deny the Prophet which means you end up goat meat hanging in the bizarre.

Then again they can , and will, justify anything as long as it leads to murder of non-believers. At one time Spain was part of the caliphate, back in the 6'th or 7'th century, and France was fighting for its very life. Back in the 16'th century, I think, Spain's Christian's kicked the Moor's out because they didn't trust them. A lot converted back then to stay. In '39 they picked the winning side fighting for Franco and really, as far as I know, there havn't been many problems since.

Except of course Al Qaeda bombing the hell out of them to force them to back off from their NATO responsibilities under Article 5 after 9/11. Yeah....except for that. https://ctc.usma.edu/the-evidence-of...madrid-attack/

Going back centuries Spain has had a strange relationship with religion. Conversion's and inter marriages were the norm but never under the Caliphate would denying the Prophet be tolerated. That was the death sentence, it was the husband that would have to convert to Islam. But If I remember right a child could be raised Christian as long as the mother was Christian and the kid was never a Muslim. Compared to the rest of Europe Spain was always almost casual about religion. The period of about the 16'th century, as mentioned, in the article, was the big exception.

I have no problem believing terrorists faking conversions happens. Most of Al Qaeda operatives are trained to drink, whore, go to strip clubs, and act as shitty Muslims when in other countries to take suspicion away from them. And its true this type of false conversion was common in Spain in that time period, but NEVER when they ruled Iberia.

Interesting History.... Spain. The Jews have been there a long time and have prospered. They fought on both sides during the civil war but Franco despised and distrusted Hitler, as did Mussolini secretly, because both knew Hitler considered the both of them "inferior races". Both Franco and Mussolini protected their Jews and gave safe harbor to many. Franco was a devout Christian and a devoted Fascist but in actuality fascism and Nazism aren't the same things.

I know that sounds funny but its true. During WW2 of the 4 Fascist powers, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Japan, only German acted to eliminate the Jews. The other 3 not only didn't but took active steps to protect them. Mussolini himself was a zionist and Franco wouldn't even turn over the communist Jews that fought against him. Put it this way "Fascism" is a Political tool of control and autocracy while Nazism is a racial superiority quasi-religion that used the tools of the Fascist state. Even the Japs refused to turn over the few Jews they had. They knew Hitler had a lot of contempt for Asian races.

For not knowing shit about the world, and never having ever been outside of Germany, Hitler antagonized a lot of allies with his stupid shit he uttered. And he hated and distrusted religion, Catholicism most of all, but he had to dance around it because he knew almost all German's believed in Christianity of some type. Sorry to be long winded....but I get going with History.

The Japanese committed many war crimes against the chinese and other civilian populations as well as against POWs.

These atrocities include forced labor and forced medical experiments, among other atrocities.

Italy is listed a having killed 10k Jews. That comparatively low number demonstrates how the Italians did not have animosity towards Jews and were not inclined to go along with their German ally's murderous plans.

My guess is those Jews who were killed were murdered in the northern part of Italy where the Italians tend to be closer to northern Europeans both physically and culturally.

Yes after Germany invaded Italy some Italian's participated in Hitlers pogram against European Jewry. Before that however Italy was a place of relative safety when Mussolini was in complete power. As was the slice of S/E France that Italy occupied. By the Fall of 1943 Mussolini was nothing but a puppet leader under the kraut occupation of northern and central Italy. Not to excuse the Italian's, they committed many atrocities in North Africa and especially Ethiopia including the use of mustard gas on civilian's. The Balkans too, especially Yugoslavia

Ive listed Jap atrocities many times here. If anything they were the worst of any country in the war, most of all in Korea and China. Places they considered populated by subhumans. Their barbarity towards the Chinese was especially harsh since the Chinese put up an effective defense against the Jap army's. This was the reason the Japs used for the rape of Nanking ; They figured unleashing their savage hordes against the Chinese would break their spirit and their will to fight on. It didn't and the animosity against the Japs lives on in China today.

Memory's are long in Asia. Every country the Jap's invaded their barbarity was unleashed. While the destruction of Nanking and Manila are held as prime examples they were only two incidents of a long list of war crimes that even included cannibalism and mass rape. The Kempeitai, the Jap secret Police, were even worse then the Gestapo. The Japs forced or coerced hundreds of thousands of woman and girls from the territory's they over ran into becoming sex slaves at their notorious comfort stations where they were raped and treated like chattel.

The ancient Armenian people were pretty much eliminated by Turkish troops before and during WW1 in a Govt. pogram to destroy any non-Islamic peoples in their Empire. Which was huge at the time. While they allied with Christian Nations during the war out of fear of the Russian's they wouldn't tolerated Christianity in the area's they controlled. What followed was a system program of extermination of Christian's by the Ottoman Empire That I believe was unequaled in History.

In general Islamic nations of intolerant of Christianity. Even the best of them only allow its practice in secret and any symbolism or even having a crucifix around your neck could result in your arrest.

Well war is a numbers game isn't it? Mussolini and the Fascist's were POS but they were never enthusiastic about Hitler Final Solution. After Mussolini was over thrown, the krauts saved him, and then installed him as their puppet leader, the Jews in the German occupied zone faced a different reality and were highly at risk.

France under the Vichy regime was far more culpable and the Nazi's didn't have to prod them into fully participating in the deporting of Jews to the Death camps in the large area of France controlled by the Vichy Govt. . France was a far more anti-semitic country then Italy was. Vichy France was far more collaborist then even Fascist Italy was. Many Jews fled Vichy to the Italian controlled area of France where they were protected until the German's invaded Italy in 1943.

That Pope Pius was another real beaut. Never once did he speak against the round ups, all you heard from the Vatican was crickets. And they all knew what was going to happen to these innocent woman and children, The Final Solution was the worst kept secret of the war and Pius knew. As early as 1922 Hitler said these words to a journalist,
"If I am ever really in power, the destruction of the Jews will be my first and most important job. As soon as I have power, I shall have gallows after gallows erected, for example, in Munich on the Marienplatz-as many of them as traffic allows. Then the Jews will be hanged one after another, and they will stay hanging until they stink. They will stay hanging as long as hygienically possible. As soon as they are untied, then the next group will follow and that will continue until the last Jew in Munich is exterminated. Exactly the same procedure will be followed in other cities until Germany is cleansed of the last Jew!"

Yes, comparison. 6 million vs. 10,000.

The #1 serial killer in this country is Samuel Little supspected of 93 murders. Son of Sam killed 6 people, which is a comparatively lower number.

Seriously, save the outrage for the college campus.

Seriously, think, before you write. Now I'm outraged? Save it for the campus? I probably have been retired for more years that you have (if applipcable) on the job. Sensible and empathetic are descriptions that should come to the forefront.

CPD is correcl, that Life is a numbers game. People, are, and are not numbers, based only on statistics. Those who died, were certainly people, and not just numbers, to themselves.

PJ: Closing in on 800 murders in Chicago this year is, statistically, more, or less, than years preceding. Add your mother, father, brother, son, daughter or wife, as one of the victims, and a whole new meaning is added to the statistical relevancy. Just another number?

Sorry, but 10,000 people, though a low statistic overall, compared to the overall atrocities committed by other nations/politicians, is not something to be scoffed over.

I've made my stance clear, so, no point in trying to use different words in another attempt, to make them understandable to you.

Have a great weekend with your family.

War is the ultimate madness and slaughter always follows. WW2 produced numbers unequaled in human history, it was insanity on a massive scale. Those Nazi bastards were obsessed with killing every last Jew in Europe and its amazing even any survived to become the core of the new nation of Israel. 2 out of every 3 European Jews were killed in the Holocaust. That any survived was amazing.

The worst collaborators were Vichy France, the Baltics, Ukraine, and the actions of the Croatian's were appalling. I'll post a link if you want to see yourself the varying degree's of cooperation of European state's in The Final Solution. The Jewish Holy Book states “He who saves a single life, saves the world entire.” Those people, and those Govt.'s, that protected innocent people or slowed down the death machine in any way saved 3 million Jews to eventually make their own home land. Numbers do matter. https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/conte.../collaboration

Muslim Arab's were among the worst collaborators.
