Dusty, this was first tried in the Summer of 2022. Worked well, but has yet to replace eyes on target. Would make a good wingman and a if needed suicide airframe to take incoming missiles from hitting manned aircraft or take out other targets, say if damaged and can't make it home.

If we don't exploit this technology for military dominance, we will be at our enemy's mercy because you know for sure they will.

Technology is as perishable as the skills it takes to keep up with it. Even the mobile phone can go out of date in 6 months.

I like drone escorts. The weight not used for crew can be used for more counter measures, missiles, even as a diversion to let the pilot escape. It has much potential but which country will deploy it first?
