That CWO picture is impressive. I couldn't see his rating....possibly Radioman? The diagonal hash marks indicate 32 years of service. The most I ever saw was 10 hash marks...40 years of service.

During a change of command ceremony in Little Creek, Va., which at the time was home to the Navy Seal Team 6 as well as being an amphibious base, the Musician Chief (yeah, the Navy has or had such a rating) led the Navy band with a very noticeable lean to the left. As a lowly E-3 I was totally impressed.
